"Unconferencing the Conference".

After a successful 2022, we have continued our new and purposeful forum format.  Each day, a morning panel “preparation” session leads to a series of three 1 hour “deep dive” discussion circles, and ends with a Plenary “integration.”

Attendees, with their vast experience and expertise as practitioners and practitioners-in-training, will be participating actively in important dialogues that hold the intention of finding common ground and solutions. Although some of the topics are controversial, we realize they are necessary for us to reset, reconcile and evolve as a community of practitioners within the field of psychedelic-assisted work.

A team of 25-30 experienced facilitators will be oriented to support these conversations leading up to and during the forum. This event intends to facilitate and structure a safe container for meaningful and transformative discussions and learning processes. Each facilitator will be supporting forum discussion circles, then will weave back into plenary sessions, guiding participants towards heart-centred communication and deep listening.

Our goal is to “grow together” and foster “education, connection and action” — We envision co-creation, new personal connections, new and renewed relationships and ways of knowing, as well as fruitful summaries and integration at the end of the conference, with actionable recommendations and next steps.

Join us for an enchanting reception evening of connection at The Pipe Shop. While the event itself will not serve alcohol, guests are welcome to enjoy drinks outside at the nearby Lonsdale Quay before or after the event as it is publicly permitted. The evening will feature exquisitely brewed teas, cozy lounging areas, opportunities for movement, and captivating lighting and music.

Music Highlights:

  • Sound Journey with Navin Sahjpaul, Music Therapist BMT:
Navin will lead a Sound Journey Experience where he utilizes music & sound with the intention of creating a soundscape within which one can find stillness, tranquility, and peace. The music is a restorative experience, opening the heart and creating space for one to connect to their inner landscape in terms of emotions, thoughts, sensations, and memories, providing an opportunity for the body to release anxiety, tension, and stress that has been stored and accumulated within one’s nervous system over time. For this offering, Navin has a portable set up which includes a Battery Powered Amp, a mic for his voice, an Acoustic Guitar, a Flute, Singing Bowls at 432 HZ, and a Midi Keyboard which is connected to computer software where he creates ambient soundscapes. All of the music is created live and is improvised. During the experience, you are invited to find a comfortable space during the sound healing for rest, meditation, journaling, gentle movement, and/or yoga

  • Disc Jockey Dr. Houman Farzin:
Following the Sound Journey, Dr. Houman Farzin will take the stage as our DJ, providing an evening of music and movement.

We look forward to sharing an evening of connection, music and fun with you!
